Hi~! I'm a total newb at Twine and coding. I decided to use Sugarcube for Twine 2 because it looks like code I'm comfortable with, namely BBCode, HTML, and Excel commands. And making my stories so far has been a breeze.
However, I'm having difficulty with adding story formats? I have Tincans for Twine 2 and I put it in a target folder with an html file named header.html like the instructions in a twine tutorial I looked at. But if I open Twine, I can't use it for my stories. And I'm not sure how to use the "Formats" option on the Twine homepage.
In "Add a New Format", it says to enter an address? What address? The file on my computer? Or a URL or something? Because it just ends up with
this error:
The story format at http://twine1.neocities.org/ReplaceMacros.min.js could not be added (Story format source did not call window.storyFormat()).
Oh! And for my Sugarcube, I downloaded Thomas Edwards' modification of Leon Arnott's replacelink macro set... But I'm not quite sure where to put the files so they'll work? Help pls~?

As to how to add story formats, the SugarCube 2.x in Twine 2 guide may be informative. While it is specifically for SugarCube 2.x, the basic instructions of how to install a local copy of a story format should work for any Twine 2 story format. Beyond that, there are five total Twine 2 story formats that I know of: Harlowe, Snowman 2, and SugarCube 1.x which are built-in (though, depending on what version of Twine 2 you're using the built-in version of SugarCube 1.x may be a network copy), and SugarCube 2.x and a fork of Snowman 2 (whose name I cannot recall) which must currently be installed separately.
As to how to install the macro set, you paste the contents of the JS file into the Story JavaScript (story edit menu > Edit Story JavaScript) and the contents of the CSS file into the Story Stylesheet (story edit menu > Edit Story Stylesheet).
