Hello everyone,
SugarCube 2, Twine 2, (Both are browser versions)
I have designed a (possibly pseudo) real-time, fight mechanism to act as a mini-game inside one of my stories. I say stories because I pretty much only use text because I am more of a writer than I am an actual game designer.
ANYWAY
I thought of the attached mechanism as a way to spice things up a bit during a fight scene. In a nutshell, if you decide to fight a character in the story, the word "Fight" moves around the screen to make it harder for you to click on it. Then.... based on how long it takes you to catch it and click on it, gives you different outcomes (e.g. Too slow... Wow, good job, etc) and then it assesses damage based on reaction time.
I don't know... seems fun to me.
TL;DR
I am having trouble compensating for the SugarCube UI Bar. I think this is STRICTLY a CSS fix that I need, but just in case, I uploaded all the little pieces.

I hate my internet. Upload failed.

Anyway, try the attached archive. It fixes an HTML issue you had in the Fight passage (the <div> wrapped only part of the <<click>>) and lots of issues in your Story JavaScript (I added commentary, but you might want to compare it to your original as well).
But if I missed you having said these things before, I apologize, I just simply cannot remember where.
I am trying to learn SugarCube so that I don't need to keep asking you uninformed questions.
I find your work to be top-notch and the format to be the best out there. Are the SugarCube docs the best place to learn? They seem more like reference material more than actual instructions.
Either way, thank you. I know you didn't have to help, but you did anyway.
So... thanks!
