Importing file issue

Hi everybody!

I use Twine 2 and Harlowe.

I am having some problems when I import my twine file into a Windows computer.
I usually work on a Mac and use the online version, and I always save my work by pressing:
Publish to file

I have just tried to import and open my file in a windows computer. First of all. all the passages appear in read with no connections at all between passages.

Second of all when I run it, on the screen appears all my html code like the following:

while on my mac looks like this:

Please can you help me with that?

Comments

  • Can you try a re-import?
  • I have already tried that and it doesnt work.

I have also tried importing an old dile in my mac and the same happens. All in red with no connections and all the code is messed up.

  • I have the same problem!

Looks related to, or at least in a similar vein of, the special (to HTML) character snafu.
  • Yes! my html code is also being replace so I guess it is because of that,

I just updated to Twine version 2.0.7 from the previous version of Twine 2. However, doing so made some changes to the HTML tags in my passages. For instance...

In the previous version, I had a line reading: <h1>The End</h1>

    Now it reads: <h1>The End</h1>

This happens to every single HTML tag in my story. I correct some of them, but when I exited Twine and then reopened it, the tags disappeared again. What is causing this and how can I fix it?

When is this going to be fixed?
  • Version 2.0.8 of Twine has been released to fix this problem, I suggest you uninstall your existing 2.0.7 if you are using a local copy and to use the newer version instead.
