You need to state which version of Twine and which story format you are using, as answers can be different for each one.
The simple answer is yes.
How you go about doing it depends on things like: what functionality you want the map to have (ie. just look nice, update as the player moves around or be interactive); where you want the map to appear; and which story format you are using.
Forgive me, this is my first time using it for a class project. I'd want the map to essentially be grey I suppose and the player would turn the square they are in blue. That being said, if you have seen Zmud/Cmud and the like, it simply utilizes small squares linked by lines much like connecting your pages in Twine. As for my version, I'm using the web version which I believe is 2.0 by default but I can download the standalone if that simplifies things in any way. Thank you for the response.
