Whole story corrupted - please help

I've found these pages so useful and friendly before - this is my first post but it's a rotten one.
I spent the past 12 hours or so working on a story using Twine 2.0.11 Harlowe (windows 8.1 version, not browser). I accidentally named a link with an extra | ... so for example |dooropened
Suddenly, the whole thing crashed. Upon resetting the editor, my story was missing from the menu. I looked for it in the stories directory, opened it in a text editor and discovered that the names of every single passage, and the contents of the whole file, is just dooropeneddooropeneddooropeneddooropeneddooropened etc. over and over
Please tell me there is some way I can roll back the editor or my system to get some of my story back if possible
