Is there an easy way to show a few friends my story/game?

I really don't know anything about coding so when you guys on forums say things that aren't English i just have no clue what you're talking about. I tried to Just open up my story, copy the link from the address bar, and message the link to them, but it doesn't work. I read a similar forum post, and the solution was to put the file on a web-server site or a file-hosting site. I put them on those site's, but when I tried to do it myself it said I had to download a bunch of things. I don't want to ask my friends to put a bunch of downloads onto their computers, or really inconvenience them, so I was wondering what the easiest way to do it is?

Is there anyway I can just send them an URL and let them play it?

If I must use a separate site then could you recommend a good one that doesn't require a lot of downloads to see it?

Thank you a ton, sorry if this question pops up a lot i'm sure it does.

I have an IBUYPOWER gaming computer, and I am currently running Windows 10. I use Google Chrome too. If that is of any help. I'm pretty sure i'm using Twine 2. I haven't changed any settings at all, when I was writing my story the background had a dark blue color, with white lines. Like a blueprint.

Please help, Thanks.

The Publish My Work section of the Twine 2 Guide suggests (and links to) a web-site which hosts Twine Story HTML files.
  • Yah, philome.la is easy. I like neocities.org, too, if I want my own website--for free!

You could host it, but that would mean releasing your game to the world, which is cool. However, if you just want to have an exclusive beta or something where you only want your friends to play it, then you need to press the publish to file button, then send them the file. That's the only thing they will have to download, so don't worry.
