Hi, I am running Twine 2.0.11 (the latest and greatest). When I "publish to file" in my client program, I generate a HTML file, which however, I cannot open with my browser [also, Google Chrome has labelled the file as "insecure". However, changing to Safari doesn't make a dent]. When I import said file to twinery.org and "publish to file" from there, I get a valid HTML that I can download and open locally. What am I doing wrong? Many thanks!

@greyelf I am running MacOSX El Capitan 10.11.6 (64 bit).
@TheMadExile I am only using the "Publish to file" choice in the client program - on the home screen. This creates a small html file, which is not properly formatted - it's missing the HTML header (starts with <tw-storydata> instead.
I looked at the file that is created after importing my html file to twinery.org - that file has a properly formatted header and displays alright.
So the question is, more accurately: what is the purpose of the "publish to file" option in the client, if it does not result in a file that can be displayed?
Thanks again, appreciate it!
For now, I'm going to assume you got from the Twine/Stories directory. That directory is used by Twine 2 to store your story archives, not published files.
When you publish a project, Twine 2 should open a standard save dialog for your OS, within which you choose where to save the published file. Choose a location that is not within the Twine/Stories directory and make note of the location so you can find the published file.
