Sound on link click?

Hi! I'm new here and I'm having a small issue. I'm using L's sound macros, and now I need (I wish actually) to add a small sound when  a link is clicked (say, link:active?).

Is there an easy way to do this? I'm not a coder.

Thanks!

  • I've just recently asked the same question and received an easy to understand answer from the local Twine guru, found here -

Though, TheMadExile's explanation may or may not be of use to you, depending on what header your using. The explanation assumes you are using the SugarCube header found here - http://twinery.org/wiki/story_format

If your new to Twine, then I highly recommend downloading and installing SugarCube as your header, as you will benefit greatly in the long run. (As well as make it possible to do what you asked, fairly easily).

If you don't know how to install a new header, give this link a look -

  • Thanks!

Ah, I'm using Sugarcane because SugarCube gave me errors when adding the sound script. I can't use SugarCube now, I've made too many fixes to Sugarcane.

Is there a way to do this with Sugarcane?
  • I'm sure there is, but it would be beyond my knowledge. By the way, you just need to edit one line of L's script. It might be confusing, so I'll just try to attach a working copy for SugarCube.
  • Shit. It's too late now =P

Thank you so much anyways, I have to start a new project on Twine, so I'll probably try and use that. Thanks.
