Error Message when building a Story

Hello everyone,
I wanted to start using Twine, but it won't let me build my Story. Everytime an error occurs (see attachment).
I'm using a Windows 8.1N x64 on german.

I saw Sharpe fix a similar problem to this earlier.  The person had alternate quotations or other alternate characters that were invisible because they copy and pasted from a non-plain text environment.

That's possible. It also could be an issue with the German date.

Try downloading the beta (sticky in Chit-Chat) and see if that fixes the issue. I thought it was fixed in 1.4.1, but I could be wrong.

If that doesn't fix it, try to build the default story (don't write anything). If you can, it's probably "fancy quotes" or a German character that Twine doesn't like.

Attaching a TWS file will also let us know.

I know that threads like these most likely are redundant, but in my hasteful way I might have just missed your replies on threads of other people with the same problem.
