Looking for: Image Viewport

edited February 2015 in Help! with 2.0
I'm just wondering if there's any prepackaged way (in 2.0) to set up a viewport that will show an image in every page of your Twine project, kind of like some of the text adventures of old that used images next to the text.

I know about img syntax and all that and I'm sure I could cludge together something with custom macros but I'm not very good at that yet, so wondering if anyone has put together something for this sort of thing already.

  • Which story format are you planning to use, as this makes a big difference to the answer to your question.
  • It doesn't really matter to me which story format I use. I'm open to any options.

    Right now I'm using Sugarcane.
  • One thing to bear in mind is you don't necessarily need a separate panel to display images. You can put images inline, a.k.a. how images look on most websites, and use GIMP or photoshop to dress them up with a fancy border (GIMP has several fancy borders built in, including drop shadows). Personally I think this looks much nicer on many styles than a dedicated image panel, since it takes a lot of css work to get an image panel looking good, just my opinion.

There is no Sugarcane in Twine 2. Do you mean SugarCube for Twine 2 or are you saying you are currently using Sugarcane in Twine 1.4.x?
