Linking map tiles / objects /events from other software into Twine ?

Is it possible to create a link that allows you to open up text / dialgoue box from twine within another program i.e.  on a map corresponding to the tiles / objects / events like npcs you might encouter  , and if so with what software /  tool ?

If not within another program then how about seperately so that a player who lands on map tile in another program ie. like a tabletop stimulator would be taken to the corresponding passage for that tile ?
