Error: I is undefined (Sugarcube)

I am using Twine for a school project (university). When I went to work on my module this morning I got an error message "Fatal problem has occurred. Aborting. Error: i is undefined." (see attached image). It was fine when I went to bed last night. Is my module dead? Any ideas?

  • You are likely not initializing a variable named i someplace. I can't say more than that because I don't know your code.
  • I adjusted nothing anywhere, just used the template as was and changed the background colour.
Last night before I went to bed, everything was running smoothly, and this morning when I went to export it wouldn't, so I tried to play it and got that error message.
I am unable to archive the file either now. Or open any of the passage boxes on the creating page.
  • If you cannot open passages for editing in the story editor, then you have serious issues going on.

Which version of Twine and what make (browser-based or executable/NW.js-based) are you using? And, if you're using a browser-based version, in which browser and is it an offline/local install or are you using the online one?
  • Browser based most current version of Firefox, Windows 7.

Ouch, browser-based. About the only thing I can suggest at this time would be to open the console (right from the start) to check for error messages (Firefox shortcut: CTRL+SHIFT+K).

    Paging Dr. @klembot.

    PS: Which version of SugarCube?
  • standard one. (1.0.26)
