Apologies if this is all newbie material but even if it's links to the relevant wiki entries that'd be nice.
General Formatting: Black background, dark greyish reading area, with slightly off white text to avoid BLINDING WHITENESS. Am open to suggestions on 'muted' color combinations.
I want to be able to specify some things to be mono-space green font.
Is there a way to bundle a font in so if I specify a font I don't have to worry if the end user has or not? If not no big, just being able to specify sans, serif, or mono will work well enough.
Linking Stuff: How do I make text that expands within the snippit? As in I click on 'abandoned house' to get a description replace that text. Also would like to be able to have that expanded text contain other things that could be expanded on.
How do I cause a flag to pop up so that 'if person clicked on this text it trips a flag to TRUE, then later on items will be added in if flags are set to TRUE or FALSE and branch from there'?
Navigation: When playing and an entry is in brackets/links to a different passage I want to be able to have multiple snippits link to that one snippit, since now and then I'll want to be able to switch perspectives, or different points where the story is handed off. As in if story swaps out at one point 'EMAIL SENT is true' but if it hands off before then 'EMAIL SENT false' which affects what happens in the next segment. A more simple thing I want is to be able to click on a thing to enter a sort-of terminal with things to click on and 'search' as an excuse for me to wiki-walk through different bits and bobs of the world.
Re Terminals: Can I make it so people can get a dropdown list labeled 'most used searches' that can populate a search bar? If so I want more things to search for beyond those, but the 'hidden' searches would mostly be easter eggs, or possibly things that the player would have to infer they should search for to get a new flag set to TRUE.
