Just starting with the Browser Tools and have a question

I like writing in my spare time at work, but my lack of administrator privileges leaves me only able to write in the browser version. It comes up every time I return to my computer as if it's tied to my IP address. Is there a way to export it back and forth so I can work on it at home and work or does that require the actual software?

  • All the different releases (web-browser based, installable) of the Twine (1.x and 2.x) application store your Story Projects locally on your machine, the web-browser based ones store them within your web-browser's LocalStorage cache and the installable ones store them as local files.

You can use the Archive option create a back-up of your Story Projects and the use the Import From File option to add those backed up Story Projects to another web-browser/installable instance.

note: Each time you move between web-browser/installable releases you will need to do another backup so that your Story Project changes travel with you.
