Just been watching a few Twine videos on youtube and discovered a new toy - the <<textbox>> macro.
I've already implemented into my game for when the player is invited to enter a keycode to unlock a door, and it works beautifully.
I'd really like to work on a parser game next, as I relish the freedom is gives both designer and player. My goto tool for this is Quest, but there's a current bug which makes me reluctant to put any work in and I'm now wondering if it would be possible to do something along those lines with Sugarcube.
I know how to set up a basic <<textbox>> macro, but having that textbox respond to specific inputs such as w, west or x key, get key is another matter altogether.
I fear the wide array of commands would be the main problem here, but I'd love to hear the thoughts of those more familiar with the program.

I realise Twine isn't designed for parser games, but I think it's interesting to experiment.
